Meeting the Challenges

Our growing veteran population is returning home to find a nation that has turned a blind eye to their needs. For many, the battle is not over when service to country ends. The stress of everyday life continues to take its toll, making the transition from military life extremely difficult, if not impossible.

Trauma

Three out of every four soldiers have been exposed to blast trauma and intense combat situations, making it increasingly hard to decompress and rejoin civilian life.

Homelessness

Veteran homelessness is on the rise as veterans are unable to find work and readjust to civilian life.

Economic Uncertainty

The economic climate veterans have faced returning from Iraq or Afghanistan has further compounded the problems.

Increasing Numbers

By 2020, the number of veterans is expected to increase by 1.2 million putting further strain on an already overwhelmed system.

Suicide

The number of veteran suicides is alarming and sadly continues to increase each year. Veteran suicide prevention is a national priority and more must be done to save the lives of our veterans.

Unemployment

In 2019, the veteran unemployment rate was down to 2.7% from 3.4% in 2018. Better job training is needed to help lower this number even more.

Loss of Community

With the daily camaraderie and the mission of their deployment over, many veterans feel alone and without purpose.

THIS IS WHERE
VETERANS LODGE STEPS IN

Our veterans are strong men and women who deserve honor and support from those for whom they fought. It is our duty to now fight for and empower them towards recovery and readjustment. An investment in our veterans is an investment in our communities and the strength of our nation.

A Healing Place

Veterans Lodge is committed to honoring and empowering our veterans. Our goal is to ensure that all veterans get the best treatment and rehabilitation possible so that they may become the most successful and well-adjusted in our nation’s history.
